Durga Images

Durga Puja is the biggest festival of West Bengal. It is also celebrated in North India though in a different form than Durga Puja. It is celebrated as Navratri there. The methods and ways to worship Mother Goddess, Maa Durga, may be different in both these regions but the feeling of devotion is the same. Navratri in Gujarat means nine days of worshiping Ambaji, one of the many names of Goddess Durga. Durga Puja in Bengal means worshiping Maa Durga for five days starting from sixth day called ‘Mahasashthi’ and ending on the tenth day called Vijayadashami, the same day when rest of India celebrates Dussehra.
